People seek therapy for a number of different reasons. You may be experiencing a particular life crisis such as the break up of a relationship or the death of a loved one. Alternatively, you may wish to enhance your emotional functioning with a view to improving the relationships with the significant others in your life.

For some people, therapy can be a long process, stretching over a number of years. For others, this could be short-term, lasting only a few weeks. We will work out an appropriate process according to the goals you would like to achieve and the time and resources that you have available.

Therapy with teenagers will usually include parental involvement and, on occasion, joint sessions will be conducted with a view to improving family functioning and communication.
